Health and Wellness Ministry

Mission

Mission: The Health & Wellness Ministry aims to optimize your health and well-being through introduction of fun, well-established, and practical health strategies, as well as offer continuing support in your journey to health. It aims to empower you to make healthy behavior changes that are the foundations of lifelong well-being. It intends to bridge the gap between medical recommendations and your ability to successfully implement those recommendations into your complex life. Lastly, to provide a safe place to build friendships and meaningful relationships with one another. The Health & Wellness Ministry offers client education, evidence-based integrative health programs, and ensures that these are accessible to all, especially the vulnerable and underserved.

 Vision

Our vision is to create a "healthy you...healthy community."

STATEMENT: Our Prayer.

“Almighty God, you have generously made known to human beings the mysteries of your life through Jesus Christ your Son in the Holy Spirit. Enlighten my mind to know these mysteries which your Church treasures and teaches. Move my heart to love them and my will to live in accord with them. Give me the ability to teach this Faith to others without pride, without ostentation, and without personal gain. Let me realize that I am simply your instrument for bringing others to the knowledge of the wonderful things you have done for all your creatures. Help me to be faithful to this task that you have entrusted to me. Amen.”           — St Charles Borromeo

What is Partner Yoga?

As the term implies, Partner Yoga is a form of yoga practiced with a partner – a friend, BFF, spouse, a family member, or sweetheart. This particular Partner Yoga includes the practice of giving and receiving, as well as both partners fully engaged in the experience. Syncing the breath with the movement and with that of the other person results in breath, movement, and body positions finding a rhythm together. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, and water for hydration.

Partner Yoga is offered to participants ages 18 & up. Our version of Partner Yoga includes:
