Music Ministry

Do you sing or play an instrument? Whether music is a charism or a craft you’ve worked at, come share it at St. Thomas More, Holy Rosary, or both campuses of our parish family, once a month, twice a month, or every week. And if your gift is running sound or working behind the scenes rather than singing, we need you just as much.

Music ministers enrich the life and liturgy of the parish by sharing their talents as singers, cantors, and musicians. We welcome a diverse range of musical styles, from experts to beginners, and our choir groups serve at weekend Masses, special liturgies, and seasonal celebrations.

St. Thomas More is blessed with many choirs serving our parish, including: Early Birds, JAM, Mission, Multicultural, One Voice, St. Francis, Swahili, Tongan choirs

Join Us

We are actively recruiting singers, cantors, and instrumentalists. Whether you read music or learn by ear, your gifts can help our parish worship more fully. Regular rehearsals, friendly leadership, and both seasonal and long-term opportunities make it easy to find a role that fits your schedule.

  • Singers: All voice parts welcome. Choirs range from cantor-led ensembles to full SATB groups.

  • Cantors & Psalmists: Help lead the congregation in song and proclaim the responsorial psalm. Cantor training available.

  • Instrumentalists: Organists and pianists provide primary accompaniment, while solo instrumentalists (for example, violin or flute) enhance worship. Some ensembles include guitarists, bassists, and drummers as part of a worship band.

  • Sound Technicians: An overlooked but essential ministry: operating the sound system and mixer board to provide high quality sound during Mass and free up the music director's hands.

  • Children (grades 3-6): Join the J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) choir to sing once a month, alternating between the St. Thomas More and Holy Rosary campuses. JAM also sings at the Christmas Eve Children’s Mass at each campus. Click here to register.

  • Youth (middle school and up): We welcome young people from middle school and up into our ensembles and special youth liturgies, with formation for roles as cantors, instrumentalists, or accompanists.

J.A.M. - Children’s Choir

Join the J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) choir to sing once a month, alternating between the St. Thomas More and Holy Rosary campuses. JAM also sings at the Christmas Eve Children’s Mass at each campus.

Youth Music Formation

We provide supportive training to help youth develop musical skills and grow into leadership roles such as cantor or accompanist. Offerings include vocal coaching, sight-singing basics, accompaniment skills, leadership training, and guided practice serving at Mass. Parents and guardians are welcome to inquire about age-appropriate placement and scheduling.
